Dr. Marcie McCune, Surgeon

"A million thanks!"

"A million thanks!" says surgeon Marcie McCune to donors whose support of the Spring mail-out helped purchase the Neoprobe, a state-of-the-art gamma probe used in both breast cancer and melanoma surgery. Used several times each week by five general surgeons and two plastic surgeons, this newer, upgraded model is very sensitive and specific - allowing surgeons to harvest only the exact lymph nodes they need; leaving the healthy ones behind. "Your support means patients need much less invasive procedures for us to get the critical lymph node info required," says Dr. McCune.
