Thank You to the Mitchell Ladies Night Cancer Fundraiser!

November 4, 2024

The 3rd Annual Mitchell Ladies Night Cancer Fundraiser brought together an inspiring community effort in support of local cancer care. Inspired by the journeys of cancer survivors Sharon and Colleen and their families—and joined this year by Marg, a third survivor, and her family—the event has raised nearly $15,000 over three years to support local charities. Each family’s experience has shaped this meaningful fundraiser, bringing their shared resilience and dedication come to life.

This year, all proceeds went to our In Our Hands Capital Campaign to support the new Cancer & Medical Care Clinic. Emceed by Tammy this was a lively night with silent auction, raffle, trivia, hors d’oeuvres, and plenty of shared laughter and conversation, attendees raised an incredible $5,265.80—bringing hope and enhanced care to those facing cancer in our community.

We’re blown away by the generosity and style of the Festival School of Hairstyling

During their 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser they went above and beyond with raffle games, amazing prizes, and creative crafts for the kids. These activities along with donating a portion of every service, raised an incredible $2,296 in support of our new Cancer & Medical Care Clinic and Mammography program.

Thank you for making a beautiful impact in our community!

Thank You to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 8 Stratford

October 18, 2024

A sincere thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 8 Stratford for their generous donation of $7,500! This investment in our In Our Hands Capital Campaign will support the purchase a ceiling lift for our Medicine Unit. Ceiling lifts help ensure a comfortable and dignified experience for both patients and healthcare providers. The lift allows our team members to transfer patients without manual lifting, thereby helping to reduce the risk of injury for themselves and the person in their care.

This donation was made possible because of the Legion’s Poppy Fund. The Poppy Fund is a symbol of remembrance and a testament to the Legion’s unwavering dedication to our community and veterans. Every year, from the last Friday of October to November 11, tens of millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s Veterans and remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. The Poppy is distributed freely to all who wish to wear one, and the Legion gratefully accepts donations to the Poppy Fund.

We can never say thank you enough for helping us keep care In Our Hands and making a real impact in our community

Thank You to the Perth County Flying Club!

October 16, 2024

Despite the rain and chilly weather, spirits were high at the Annual Fly-In/Drive-In Breakfast hosted by the Perth County Flying Club, COPA FLIGHT 69, at the Stratford Municipal Airport on June 2!

This beloved community tradition made a triumphant return after pausing since 2019. While the weather allowed only one aircraft to fly in, over 300 breakfasts were served, and $4,000 was raised in support of our In Our Hands Capital Campaign!

We’re a bit delayed in sharing this update, but we couldn’t miss the chance to recognize the generosity and community spirit from this event. A huge thank you to Bill Verellen, Andy Woodham, Elaine Binning, Jay Ford, Allan/McArthur/Woodham, and all the Perth County Flying Club volunteers for your dedication!
