Host An Event

 

Planning a community event, tournament, workplace initiative, or special gathering in support of local healthcare? We are grateful for individuals, businesses, service clubs, and community groups who choose to host fundraising events in support of the Stratford General Hospital Foundation.

 

A third-party fundraising event is organized independently by you, with proceeds supporting priority needs at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – Stratford General Hospital. From golf tournaments and galas to dress-down days and community BBQs, your event can help ensure our hospital has the equipment, spaces, and resources needed to provide compassionate, high-quality care close to home.

 

How It Works

 

  1. Submit your event idea at least six weeks before your event using our Application Form below

  2. Receive approval and event guidelines from our team

  3. Plan and host your event

  4. Submit proceeds and event summary

  5. Celebrate with a cheque presentation or recognition of your choice

We can support your event by:

 

  • Providing guidance and best practices as you plan and promote your event.

  • Offering a letter of authenticity or endorsement upon request.

  • Providing approved Foundation materials, such as brochures and approved messaging, for use in your communications.

  • Assisting with promotion, such as sharing your event on our website, newsletter, or social channels when appropriate.

  • Helping you understand how funds will be remitted and reported after your event.

Please note:

  • We do not provide donor mailing lists or contact information.

  • We do not issue tax receipts for funds collected by third-party organizers unless donations are remitted directly to the Foundation in accordance with CRA guidelines and discussed in advance.

  • We cannot assume responsibility for event logistics, expenses, insurance, or liability requirements.

  • Use of the Foundation name and logo must be pre-approved before it appears on any promotional materials.

The event organizer is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all aspects of the fundraising event, including ensuring compliance with applicable laws, permits, and insurance requirements.
