Dedicated to enhancing health care in our community, the Stratford General Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors understands the power of philanthropy in supporting patient care and innovation.
Each individual plays a vital role in the governance and leadership of the Foundation as a director of the board. Board directors are responsible for providing oversight, strategic direction, and support to the Foundation’s staff and executive leadership. They must ensure the Foundation stays true to its mission, vision, and values while maintaining the trust and confidence of its stakeholders, including donors, employees, and the community.
Board directors are volunteers who bring with them a variety of professional experiences, perspectives and subject matter expertise. As part of a growing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, we know we’ll be most effective when our leadership reflects the communities we serve. We invite applications from all genders, all races and ethnicities, people of all abilities, Indigenous peoples, LGBTQ2S+ persons and bilingual or multilingual individuals. We are committed to providing all applicants with equal opportunities.
As an organization, we value members who share their perspectives enthusiastically while also making space so that all voices around the table are heard. We’re especially eager to welcome new members who bring expertise in one or more of the following fields:
Health and Wellness
Industry
Media/Creative
Additionally, we welcome representation from the broader communities served by the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – Stratford General Hospital.
